Industries that could be disrupted by DALL-E and ChatGPT

Here’s another cool application: Biotech.
Several biotech labs are using variations of the technology to create novel protein designs — with one calling it the “DALL-E 2 of biology.” The implementation could speed up or develop more effective drugs.
But only some industries will be so lucky. This week, we mentioned how OpenAI’s tech could disrupt the stock photo images (Adobe, Getty Images) industry and pose a threat to Google.
Industries at risk of being disrupted include:
1/ Education. ChatGPT can already pump out full essays and answer questions. Edtech platforms that provide tutoring services, like Chegg (NYSE:CHGG), could lose value.
2/ Freelancing. Platforms like Fiverr (NYSE:FVRR) and Upwork (NASDAQ:UPWK) are popular for finding outsourced workers. But many of these jobs (i.e., copywriting, logo designing, developers) could be displaced by AI.
Still, the tech isn’t quite there yet. Stack Overflow — a Q&A community for programmers — banned all AI-generated answers, given their inaccuracies.
