Get Ready: ~1 Year Until The Next Bitcoin Halving
Trends

April 18, 2023
We’ve got an early reminder for you — and it’s one you might not want to miss.
The next Bitcoin halving is coming in almost exactly a year (~Apr. 19 as of writing) — an event that’s historically had major implications on the price of $BTC.
The exact date will change as we approach spring 2024, but dw, we’ll remind you again.
What is it? Every four years, the amount of bitcoin issued to miners is cut in half — until it eventually reaches zero. Less supply (bitcoin) is bullish for the price.
What happens after each halving?
- Bitcoin proceeds to break new all-time highs in the following 1-1.5 years.
- The price of other major cryptos like Ethereum ($ETH) tends to follow — with a history of rising 21x in the year after the last Bitcoin halving.
Despite recovering over 90% since last November, $BTC is still down nearly 50% from its all-time high in 2021.
And investors are slowly turning bullish again. This week, the Crypto Fear + Greed Index rose to a level of 69 — the highest since the end of 2021.
Right time, right place? If the Fed does lower rates early next year, as analysts expect, we could see the stars align on two major bullish events. $100K bitcoin, here we come?
