Dataroma tracks 79 “superinvestors” that are categorized by:

    • Long-term investors with time horizons of at least three years.
    • Mostly large funds with billions in assets that invest in mid- to large-cap companies.

The majority released their holdings for the third quarter, and here are some takeaways:

1/ Big tech rises: More funds are concentrated around large tech giants like Alphabet, Microsoft, Meta and Amazon compared to a year ago.

2/ Don’t discount Zuck: Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Meta (NASDAQ:META) have risen significantly in their top holdings — two stocks that are down bad this year.

3/ Musk falling out of favor: Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) noticeably isn’t on the list and can’t even be found in the top 100 holdings.

4/ Where’s the oil? The Energy Sector may be the best-performing sector of the year — but these stocks are lacking from the list (both this year and last).

5/ Who else is rising on the list? Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM), Micron (NASDAQ:MU), Alibaba (NYSE:BABA), Moody’s Corporation (NYSE:MCO), Visa (NYSE:V), PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL), and Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK).
